This has prepared him to minister in an area now that is largely traditional in both ethnicity and liturgy. The ability to form strong relationships with the locals has given him many opportunities to share the Gospel. The ability to form relationships with other evangelical churches provides the opportunity to network with the Body of Christ at large and together build the Kingdom of God. “Do you want to finish your race with joy? Joy isn’t found in self-preservation, self-comfort,
or self-esteem; it’s found in the pouring out of ourselves for the sake of Jesus Christ and His Gospel. HSE exists for the purpose of equipping saints for the work the ministry He has destined for you. Engage God, enroll at HSE, be poured out, and run your race with joy.”

God gave me a true perspective on what ministry is like on a daily basis during my time in HSE. He let me see the reality of it opposed to the fantasy of it. Two months after graduating HSE, God placed me in Head Waters, Virginia. When I arrived, I was put where help was needed the most. Through training and God's calling, I am responsible for the kitchen ministry. Everyday there is an opportunity to share the love of Jesus and the grace of God with a camper or a staff member.
